1) Brief History

KIISE Journal initiated by the sole academic journal contained academic papers in 1974 was divided into 3 types of journals in 1995 and into 5 types in 2000; and currently, two kinds of journals of ‘Journal of KIISE (JOK)’ and ‘KIISE Transactions on Computing Practices (KTCP)’ are being published. The journals which are regarded as representative publications of KIISE were registered as the top class ones by Academic Promotion Foundation (currently, the National Research Foundation (NRF) of Korea) in 2002 and have been appraised continuously as ones of the registered journals.






2) Aims and Scope

(1) JOK
The Journal of KIISE (JOK) aims to bring important research work on all aspects of computer science and engineering to the related research community. The journal publishes original research papers with strong new contributions both from experimental and theoretical studies. The areas covered by the journal include, but are not limited to, computer systems and theory, software and applications, databases, and information networking.

2) KTCP
The KIISE Transactions on Computing Practices (KTCP) aims to foster communication between academia and industry within the rapidly evolving areas of computer science and engineering. The journal is intended to promote problem solving-oriented research that fuses academic and industrial expertise. The areas covered by the journal include, but are not limited to, realworld/industrial/academic experiences focused on design and implementation of computer software or computer systems, development of software tools, and evaluation and analyses of computing systems and data.
